A life in sound.
A feeling for cinema.

Sidhant Mathur is a Mumbai-based composer and music producer, and the founder of Golden Ratio Motion Pictures Private Limited. His work brings together songwriting, film scoring, production and audio engineering.

His musical journey began with the guitar and bass, playing in bands and musicals through school and college. In 2003, he moved to Toronto to study audio engineering and technology. He went on to co-found Quarter Note Studios in New Delhi in 2006, working across independent music as a producer and engineer.

His screen credits include the music and background score for both seasons of Netflix’s Jamtara — Sabka Number Ayega, the background score for Farrey, and songs for Children of War and Budhia Singh — Born to Run. His short-film work includes Madhyantara, Paroksh, Bete and Mannat.

For Jamtara, Sidhant approached the score through the characters’ emotions, developing musical motifs that could change with the story. Research, instrumentation and sonic texture are part of finding a musical world that belongs to each film.
